The position available within Banner Staffing Services (BSS) is a Registry/Per Diem opportunity offering flexible scheduling within the Food Service department of Banner Health. - able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend frequently

- must wear protective clothing as required

- pass post-offer occupational health physical assessment
- pass drug screen and background check including employment, criminal and education

Job Qualifications
- Reading, writing and mathematical skills
- skills and knowledge of nutrition services from one to two years experience
- effective interpersonal communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- ability to learn computer software and point of sale systems
- ability to learn food handling regulations and pass certification
- demonstrated customer service skills
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- understanding of nutrition services and modified diets preferred
- bilingual skills preferred
- additional related education or experience preferred
Job Duties
- Visit patients to obtain or discuss menu selections based upon dietary orders
- enter or record all daily patient meal selections and preferences
- demonstrate appropriate judgment with modified diets and requests for Diet Tech or Dietitian assistance
- provide patient meal service including setting up tray work stations and assembling trays
- deliver and serve meals with independent judgment on special requests
- provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints
- maintain food handling and sanitation standards
