Marriott International's commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its superior guest services but also in its dedication to fostering inclusive and inspiring workplace environments for its associates. They emphasize equal opportunity, celebrating diversity, and promoting a culture where unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences are valued and leveraged to offer outstanding hospitality. Marriott’s ethos centers around the belief that happy associates create happy guests, a principle that underscores their holistic approach to employee well-being, career development, and recognition.

The role of the Rooms Operations Manager at JW Marriott is an entry-level management position focused on supporting and enhancing the day-to-day activities of key hotel operational areas, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Bell Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services. In this role, the Rooms Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing critical aspects such as opening and closing front desk shifts, managing shift checklists, reviewing room operations reports, and ensuring employees are equipped with the proper supplies and uniforms. A strong emphasis is placed on communication, as the manager must convey performance expectations clearly to employees, handle employee inquiries and concerns, and effectively schedule staff in alignment with business demands while monitoring time and attendance. Additionally, the manager supports selling procedures to maximize room revenue, verifies the accuracy of room rates, and utilizes financial reports such as budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist in managing room operations successfully.

From a guest experience perspective, the Rooms Operations Manager actively engages in guest relations by assisting in investigating incidents, leveraging guest information tracking systems to recognize repeat guests and their preferences, and setting a positive example for guest interactions. The role demands responsiveness to guest feedback, effectively handling complaints and issues, and participating in the review of guest satisfaction surveys to maintain high service standards.

By joining JW Marriott as a Rooms Operations Manager, you become part of a global, inclusive team dedicated to delivering wonderful hospitality every day. The position offers a unique opportunity to develop management skills within a luxury hotel environment that values growth, innovation, and genuine care for both associates and guests.
