The hotel features modern amenities, cozy accommodations, and an inviting atmosphere to create memorable stays for its guests. The brand emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement as key elements in maintaining its high standards throughout all departments, especially housekeeping, which plays a vital role in guest satisfaction and overall hotel reputation.
The role of Rooms Inspector at Hotel Verdant is an essential position within the housekeeping department, focusing on ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel's stringent quality standards consistently. The Rooms Inspector works closely with housekeepers, the Front Desk, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and timely resolution of issues affecting guest room readiness and overall cleanliness.
This position demands consistent weekend availability and the flexibility to cover afternoon shifts, typically from 12 pm to 9 pm. The Rooms Inspector is responsible not only for inspecting rooms but also for assisting in staff training, coaching, counseling, and enforcing the hotel's standard operating procedures to maintain a productive and positive work environment. Additionally, the Rooms Inspector must be prepared to assume the role of Supervisor on Duty two to three days per week, stepping in to oversee operations and ensure quality during those times.
Key responsibilities include conducting daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring all checklists are completed and reviewed, preparing and distributing housekeeping boards, and maintaining open collaboration across departments. The Rooms Inspector fosters a culture of professionalism and courtesy within the housekeeping team, motivating colleagues to uphold the hotel's cleanliness and service standards. The role also requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate staffing needs, including filling in for absent employees when necessary.
Candidates for this position should have a college degree or equivalent experience in hotel operations, with strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency, particularly with property management systems. Physical requirements include the ability to move objects up to 25 pounds, reach overhead and below the knees, and stand or walk for extended periods. Fluency in English is mandatory to effectively communicate and maintain confidentiality of guest information.
Overall, the Rooms Inspector at Hotel Verdant plays an integral role in maintaining the hotel's reputation by ensuring every guest room and public area meets the highest standards, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational success. This role offers an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals seeking to advance their careers in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
