Job Description

The Room Attendant role at PAH Management plays a critical part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are consistently clean, comfortable, and welcoming. This role is based in the Metairie/Harahan, LA area and offers a flexible schedule averaging 36 to 40 hours per week, which includes the potential for evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
As a Room Attendant, the individual will service guest rooms daily following hotel cleanliness standards, including cleaning bathrooms, windows, and balconies, as well as making beds and replenishing linens and supplies. The role also includes managing the housekeeping cart by procuring, stocking, and storing supplies safely and securely. Additionally, room attendants coordinate with the housekeeping team and supervisors, responding promptly to guest requests and reporting any issues effectively to maintain smooth operations. This position requires physical stamina for lifting, carrying, standing, and walking throughout the shift. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and standard housekeeping equipment is expected.

Job Requirements
- No formal education requirement
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects exerting up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly
- Ability to bend, lift, and stand or walk for the entire shift
- Ability to communicate clearly and listen effectively
- Must be available to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Based in Metairie/Harahan, LA
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment
- Medium physical work required
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Effective communication skills to listen and address guest and coworker concerns
- Previous housekeeping or room attendant experience preferred
- Familiarity with hotel safety and security procedures preferred
Job Duties
- Clean and service guest rooms daily
- Change linens and make beds to hotel standards
- Clean the entire bathroom thoroughly
- Clean windows and balconies as part of room servicing
- Replenish guest room supplies and amenities
- Retrieve, stock, and store housekeeping cart according to procedures
- Receive and turn in keys and supplies at each shift
- Respond promptly to guest requests and report issues
- Report missing articles, damages, or mechanical problems
- Turn in articles left behind according to lost and found procedures
- Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities
- Assist fellow team members as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
