Job Description

As a Room Attendant/Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in the overall guest experience by ensuring that all guest rooms and designated areas are clean, orderly, and fully stocked. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and preparing rooms for overnight guests, making sure each room meets our strict standards for cleanliness and functionality. This includes tasks such as changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and removing trash. Attention to detail is essential, as a well-prepared room contributes significantly to guest satisfaction and comfort.
In this role, you will stock your housekeeping cart daily with essential cleaning supplies, fresh linens, and guest amenities. You will also be responsible for cleaning other assigned areas, including restrooms, public spaces, offices, and meeting rooms. As part of maintaining hotel property, you will report any damage, missing articles, or mechanical issues to management to ensure everything is in good working order. Responding to guest requests and addressing any issues or complaints in a courteous and hospitable manner is a key aspect of this position.
The position requires the ability to follow a consistent routine and take direction well while working efficiently to complete rooms within allotted timeframes. Deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses and moving furniture may occasionally be assigned. You will attend pre-shift meetings to receive daily assignments and updates, helping you stay informed and aligned with team goals.
This role is ideal for individuals who have prior knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations, understand the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals, and have experience using commercial cleaning equipment. Effective communication skills and the ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment are important qualities for success in this position. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience helpful
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers

Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping cart with cleaning supplies, fresh linens and guest supplies
- Clean guest rooms as assigned, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and removing linen and trash
- Change and replenish bed linens, towels and other guest amenities, as needed
- Clean other designated areas when assigned, including restrooms, public areas, offices, and meeting rooms
- Ensure all hotel property is in working order and report missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to management or supervisor
- Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner
- Turn in and log all guest property left in room or other public spaces
- Attend pre-shift meetings to learn assignments and the day’s tasks
- Perform deep cleaning tasks, such as flipping mattresses and moving furniture, as needed
- Ensure all assigned rooms and tasks are completed within allotted timeframes
