Job Description

This opportunity is with a well-established hotel known for delivering exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere to all guests. As a key player in the hospitality industry, the hotel prides itself on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. Located in a convenient and accessible area, the establishment offers a variety of amenities aimed at making every visitor's stay a memorable one. The hotel features modern facilities, including comfortable guest rooms, public areas, and service zones designed to enhance the guest experience. The management team is committed to fostering a positive work environment where employees can thrive and grow within their roles, making this an attractive workplace for those passionate about hospitality and service excellence.

The role of Room Attendant is an essential position within the Housekeeping Department, reporting directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, or Executive Housekeeper. This is a non-exempt position with a competitive pay rate of $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, with potential compensation reaching up to $19.00 per hour based on experience and performance. This role operates on a shift basis from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00am to 5:30pm on Sundays.

The primary responsibility of the Room Attendant is to ensure that all guest rooms, corridors, service areas, and linen closets are cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. The position requires a dedicated, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering excellence through their work. Duties include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, dusting furniture and room décor, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and checking rooms for safety hazards or maintenance issues. Beyond cleaning tasks, room attendants must be attentive to guests’ needs, responding courteously and professionally to accommodate special requests and provide information about hotel features and local attractions.

The role demands physical stamina, as attendants spend much of their shift standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position entails working in various indoor and outdoor environments subject to weather conditions, including temperature-controlled guest rooms and public areas. Safety and compliance with the company's dress code and appearance standards are mandatory at all times.

Working as a Room Attendant is more than just a housekeeping job; it is an opportunity to contribute to guests' positive experiences and to the hotel's overall reputation. Employees are expected to demonstrate integrity, ownership of their actions, teamwork, and leadership qualities that align with the company’s values and commitment to service excellence. Being trustworthy, organized, and a good team player is essential for succeeding in this role, along with the ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

This position is ideal for individuals seeking a stable employment opportunity in the hospitality sector, looking to develop their skills and grow within a customer-focused organization. The hotel offers a supportive work atmosphere and access to employee benefits upon completion of the introductory period. As part of a professional team, the Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction that distinguish this hotel as a top choice for travelers.
