Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks including bending lifting and standing for long periods
good communication skills
ability to follow instructions and work independently
reliability and strong work ethic
attention to detail and commitment to quality
basic understanding of safety procedures
willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Experience in housekeeping or similar hospitality role preferred
ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and standards

Job Duties

Thoroughly clean and maintain hotel guest rooms and assigned areas in a timely manner
change sheets make beds and vacuum guest rooms
dust entire guest room including tables night stands dressers light fixtures televisions air conditioning units and window ledges
clean all mirrors
notify guest services or housekeeping lead when service is complete
report rooms unable to be serviced to supervisor
report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor
respond to guest requests supervisors or management in a timely and efficient manner
maintain linen cart and supplies neat and organized
maintain security of equipment keys and supplies issued daily
report lost and found articles to supervisor
replace light bulbs
transport trash and waste to disposal area
replenish supplies such as drinking glasses writing bathroom supplies and linen
clean rooms according to brand and company standards
follow procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting programs
respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner and report complaints or requests to appropriate departments
keep maid station clean and organized and make rollaway beds
provide a professional image through appearance and dress
follow company policies and procedures
perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
