Sonesta is distinguished by its commitment to delivering exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and memorable guest experiences with a human touch. The company prioritizes quality, value, and customer satisfaction, bringing together over 1000 properties where guests can enjoy consistent and personalized service. Sonesta stands out in the competitive hotel industry by fostering a culture of passion, loyalty, and purposeful service, emphasizing the connection with every guest at every stay.
The Room Attendant role at Sonesta International Hotels is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality that define the company’s reputation. As a Room Attendant, you will collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Management Team to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet stringent brand standards in cleanliness, order, and presentation. This position involves cleaning guest rooms, servicing public spaces, and supporting the commercial laundry operations to guarantee that linens and amenities are efficiently laundered and replenished. By adhering to Sonesta’s brand expectations including the G.U.E.S.T. standards (a proprietary service model), the Room Attendant helps create an inviting and comfortable environment for all guests.
The role requires physical stamina and dedication as the attendant will be responsible for tasks such as making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, handling guest requests or complaints, and reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly to supervisors. The attendant may also work in the laundry area operating washers and dryers, inspecting linens for damage, and minimizing waste of supplies. Flexibility in work schedule is needed as shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation for the Room Attendant role ranges from $22 to $23 per hour, dependent on knowledge, skills, and previous experience. Sonesta emphasizes employee well-being by offering competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans with company match, paid time off, educational assistance, paid parental leave, and various insurance coverages. The company values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer that ensures fair hiring practices regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or disability status. Overall, this opportunity at Sonesta International Hotels is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, take pride in delivering top-quality service, and seek a supportive workplace with growth potential within a respected global hotel brand.
