We are currently seeking dedicated Housepersons to join our Housekeeping Department. This role is crucial to maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas and guest rooms, which directly influences the guest experience. Housepersons at Concord Hospitality play a vital role in ensuring the hotel environment is welcoming and immaculate by performing cleaning duties in a timely and organized manner while adhering to hotel standards and procedures. This position involves making rounds throughout hallways and public spaces to monitor cleanliness, addressing any issues promptly, and supporting the housekeeping team with heavy lifting and urgent requests.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting
  • Availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Commitment to following safety and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
  • Strong attention to detail and good observational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Make rounds through the halls each shift to ensure public areas are clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order
  • Detail the public spaces and lobby on the main floor including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other assigned duties
  • Coordinate and help housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests
  • Use watchfulness to report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair
  • Be graciously attentive to guests, answering questions and getting additional help when needed
  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms in a timely and organized manner, following procedures and hotel standards
