Job Description
Our establishment is a prestigious hotel committed to delivering exceptional hospitality services and unparalleled guest experiences. As a recognized leader in the hospitality industry, our hotel prides itself on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. We cater to a diverse clientele, ranging from business travelers to vacationing families, ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming and pleasant stay. Our dedication to quality service creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making us a preferred destination for many visitors. We value a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement, fostering a positive working environment for all our staff. Joining our team means becoming part of a dynamic organization where your contributions help shape memorable experiences for thousands of guests annually.
The role of a Room Attendant is a crucial part of our housekeeping department, focused on maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. The primary responsibility is to service guest rooms daily following established hotel procedures to uphold the company’s standards for cleanliness and safety. Room Attendants are expected to stock their housekeeping carts with necessary room supplies and efficiently replace bed linens and replenish guest room amenities. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to guest needs, and the ability to follow safety and security protocols meticulously. This role involves more than just cleaning; it is about ensuring guests feel valued and comfortable in their surroundings. Duties include picking up trash, changing linens, making beds to hotel standards, thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, dusting and sweeping guest rooms, and cleaning windows and balconies.
In addition to cleaning tasks, Room Attendants must be able to retrieve, stock, restock, and store housekeeping carts in accordance with prescribed safety and security guidelines. Coordination with the Senior Housekeeper is essential to receive assigned sections, keys, supplies, and priority room requests, with proper handling and return of keys and unused supplies at the end of each shift. This role requires responsiveness to guest requests and complaints, aiming to resolve issues promptly and with a hospitable demeanor that enhances overall guest satisfaction. Reporting any missing articles, damages, or mechanical problems to supervisory staff is also a key component of the job. Collaboration with the Housekeeping Supervisor helps prioritize workloads and provides assistance during busy periods or as needed. While experience in a hotel or related field is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement, making this role accessible to motivated individuals keen to start a career in hospitality.
Physically, the role involves medium work demands, typically requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Room Attendants must be able to bend, lift, and stand or walk throughout their shifts, which average between 36 to 40 hours per week. Effective communication skills are essential, as attendants must convey information clearly and listen attentively to guest and coworker concerns. The role may also involve performing other duties as assigned by management, reflecting the dynamic and multifaceted nature of hotel operations. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a supportive work atmosphere where dedication and attention to detail are recognized and rewarded. If you are passionate about maintaining beautiful and inviting environments and thrive in a fast-paced, people-oriented setting, this Room Attendant position is an excellent opportunity to join a leading hotel team.
