The position available is for a Housekeeper tasked with inspecting and thoroughly cleaning guest and conference rooms. This role is essential in upholding the sanitation and aesthetic standards required by the company and its brand. The Housekeeper’s responsibilities include removing used linens, replenishing clean linens, and cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms to meet exact brand standards. The candidate will also manage the meticulous dusting of furniture and fixtures, ensure the correct arrangement of amenities and furniture, and oversee the security of guest belongings by reporting any unattended items promptly to management. This position demands vigilance in observing and reporting any suspicious activities to maintain the safety and security of guests and staff.
A key aspect of the role involves the proper management of cleaning equipment and adherence to all departmental and safety rules to sustain a hazard-free work environment. Additionally, the Housekeeper will participate in special projects such as deep cleaning tasks in designated areas including hallways, lounges, lobbies, and restrooms. Good physical stamina is required to meet the physical demands of the role, which include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting weights up to 25 pounds, and performing movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing. The role also requires the ability to handle cleaning materials safely amid exposure to various environmental conditions and cleaning substances.
Employment in this role is contingent upon the successful completion of a background and drug test. Candidate eligibility requires at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent, proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication, and preference for candidates with prior housekeeping or general customer service experience. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Removes all used linens daily and replace with clean linen
- cleans guestroom and bathrooms thoroughly within brand standards
- vacuum rooms and public space carpets daily
- dusts all furniture and fixtures including headboards, mirrors, picture frames, credenzas, televisions and tables daily
- handles the proper layout of the furniture and amenities in each room type
- assures that furnishings and correct amenities are in their proper places after the room is cleaned
- handles the security of the guests belongings left in the room
- turn in any items left behind by a guest immediately to the Director of Housekeeping or Manager on duty
- identifies and report immediately any suspicious activities or persons to the supervisor or the General Manager
- looks for message lights left on in check-out rooms and report it to Front Desk
- pulls the cart in front of the door to the room when working inside a guest room to control access
- follows all departmental rules and procedures in performing job duties
- maintains all assigned cleaning equipment
- empties vacuum bags and maintain machine belt
- reports any problems with equipment to the supervisor or maintenance immediately
- follows all safety rules and practice safety procedures
- assists in special projects such as turning mattresses, deep cleaning of rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, clean outside doors, windows, vents and other work areas
- performs other duties as assigned
