This job opportunity is based in Portland, Oregon, at the Ritz-Carlton property located at 900 SW Washington St. The role is a full-time, non-management position within the Housekeeping & Laundry category, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness, order, and overall guest experience within the hotel. As a Guest Environment Expert, you will play a critical role in upholding the esteemed "Gold Standards" of The Ritz-Carlton, which include the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. These standards lay the foundation for the hotel's reputation as a leader in luxury hospitality and are fundamental to delivering the gracious, thoughtful service expected by the guests.
The Guest Environment Expert is responsible not only for ensuring the physical cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas but also for contributing to a positive and memorable guest experience. Unlike traditional housekeeping roles, this position empowers employees with the autonomy to move about their work environment freely and proactively address tasks that contribute to guest satisfaction. Duties may include delivering guest requests, stocking housekeeping carts, cleaning and organizing rooms and public spaces, and assisting with any other reasonable duties aimed at maintaining the hotel's high standards.
Success in this role requires physical stamina, as the job involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, along with the capability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
