Job Description

Starwood Hotels, an esteemed luxury hotel brand management company, is an affiliate of the global private investment firm Starwood Capital Group. Since its founding in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht, the company has built a reputation for delivering impeccable hospitality and exceptional guest experiences worldwide. Known for its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and cultural inclusivity, Starwood Hotels operates several unique hotel brands including the playful and imaginative Treehouse Hotels. The company's mission is deeply rooted in caring for the environment and providing outstanding service environments that resonate with a diverse, empowered workforce and guests alike.

Treehouse Hotels, a distinctive brand within the Starwood portfolio, is inspired by the creative spirit of childhood and the joy of discovery. The brand captures the essence of adventure, independence, and coziness, emphasizing the use of found objects, nostalgic elements, handmade features, and locally sourced treats to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. The first Treehouse Hotel opened in London in November 2019, setting the tone for an innovative hospitality experience marked by playful freedom and modern sensibility. Treehouse Hotels are known for attentive service, unique locally-inspired amenities, creative programming, and diverse food and beverage offerings that make every stay memorable.

The Housekeeper role at Treehouse Hotels plays a vital part in upholding these standards by ensuring all guestrooms and public areas are impeccably maintained. This position calls for efficient, courteous, and detail-oriented team members who take pride in delivering spotless accommodations and exceptional guest service. Housekeepers are responsible for thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities according to strict hotel guidelines. They are expected to manage special room requests thoughtfully, handle lost and found procedures diligently, and report maintenance issues promptly following established protocols.

Working as part of the housekeeping team, a housekeeper contributes to the overall guest satisfaction by maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functional integrity of hotel rooms and public spaces. Collaboration and communication with team members and supervisors are essential to ensuring smooth operations during shifts and responding swiftly to guest needs. The role requires a professional demeanor, a team-oriented approach, and flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour service environment.

Treehouse Hotels cultivate a culture that values innovation, positive relationships, and continuous improvement, encouraging employees to identify ways to enhance performance and guest experiences. Housekeepers are also expected to embody the hotel's brand values and vision, consistently delivering service that reflects warmth, respect, and thoughtfulness.

As part of the Starwood Hotels family, the position offers competitive wages with a starting pay rate of $26.50 per hour, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement planning options, paid personal days, and career advancement opportunities. The environment supports professional development through exclusive online learning platforms and recognizes team members for their dedication and contributions. Moreover, Treehouse Hotels emphasize a healthy, nature-inspired workplace culture that motivates employees to grow personally and professionally while contributing positively to the community and environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and cleanliness, who enjoy physical work and thrive in a dynamic team atmosphere. With a commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity employment, Starwood Hotels welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds, fostering a respectful and supportive work environment.
