The Room Attendant role at Sonesta International Hotels is pivotal within the Housekeeping Department. This position involves working closely with the Housekeeping Management Team to maintain cleanliness and organization across guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring every area meets Sonesta’s high standards for comfort and hygiene. The role may also include duties in the commercial laundry facility, involving the careful handling, washing, and management of linens and other laundering tasks.

Room Attendants are the frontline ambassadors of Sonesta's commitment to hospitality. Their primary goal is to guarantee total guest satisfaction by following precise cleaning protocols and brand standards related to timing, product usage, and placement. The role demands attention to detail, physically demanding work involving standing, bending, lifting, and moving, as well as the ability to use cleaning chemicals responsibly and safely. Guest interaction is an important component, requiring adherence to Sonesta's G.U.E.S.T standards of service to ensure every interaction is warm and respectful. Beyond routine cleaning, Room Attendants may assist with deep cleaning projects occasionally and are responsible for communicating any maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors promptly. They also manage lost and found items in accordance with established hotel procedures. This role is unionized, with pay ranging from $24.09 to $26.60 per hour as per contract requirements, reflecting the specialized and important responsibilities that Room Attendants uphold.
