Job Description

The Pfister Hotel, a prestigious establishment deeply rooted in the history and culture of Milwaukee, has been a symbol of luxury and sophistication since its founding in 1893. Nestled in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, this iconic hotel has established itself as one of the premier destinations for travelers seeking a blend of classic elegance and modern comfort. With nearly 130 years of continuous operation, The Pfister proudly upholds a tradition of gracious service and impeccable style, making it a landmark not only in Milwaukee but also in the Midwest hospitality scene. Distinguished by its remarkable achievement of maintaining AAA Four Diamond status for 46 consecutive years, The Pfister stands as one of only 11 properties across North America to have earned this recognition since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976. This accolade underscores the hotel’s unwavering commitment to excellence in guest service, quality accommodations, and overall experience.

The Pfister Hotel is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Housekeeper to join its exceptional team, working from Friday through Sunday. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the hotel’s storied legacy by ensuring guests receive the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout their stay. The Housekeeper will play a critical role in creating an inviting environment by meticulously preparing guest rooms, performing thorough cleaning duties, and attending to restocking needs. The position emphasizes both attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality, as the housekeeper helps maintain the hotel’s elegant atmosphere that guests have come to expect.

As a part-time housekeeper at The Pfister, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities including servicing stay-over rooms by changing linens and replenishing amenities, as well as performing deep cleaning in check-out rooms to ready them for new guests. Key tasks also include bed-making, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, dusting, trash removal, and restocking the supply cart for upcoming shifts. Teamwork and the willingness to assist with additional assigned duties are also central to this role, ensuring a seamless operational flow. This role is ideal for individuals who are energetic, physically capable, and proud of representing a distinguished hotel in a professional manner.

The Pfister Hotel is a division of The Marcus Corporation, which brings over 60 years of hospitality expertise and a commitment to creating extraordinary experiences for both guests and employees. Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the parent company, operates an expanding portfolio of 15 uniquely styled properties across the United States. Working at The Pfister offers not only a chance to be part of a historic hotel but also the opportunity to grow your career within a respected hospitality group committed to employee development and career progression. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment that values service excellence and personal growth.

Joining The Pfister means becoming part of a team that takes pride in delivering top-tier service in a setting rich with tradition and cultural significance. The hotel offers a range of employee benefits, including delicious complimentary meals during shifts, special room and dining discounts across Marcus properties, access to recreational discounts, and opportunities for wage advancement and paid time off. This role is perfectly suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced yet welcoming environment, who have a keen eye for detail, and who wish to play a pivotal role in providing guests with unforgettable experiences in downtown Milwaukee.
