The role of Room Attendant at Ascent Hospitality is a vital position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and hallways within the hotel.   • four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English

  • ability to work flexible shifts
  • ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in mentally and physically stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
  • cleans multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
  • replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
  • cleans corridors and stairways
  • sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
  • cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • dusts furniture
  • washes walls and woodwork
  • washes windows, door panels, and sills
  • empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
  • transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • replenishes bathroom supplies
  • replaces light bulbs
  • scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fan
  • completes a quality check on the television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
  • removes items left behind from rooms and handles them according to hotel procedures
  • reports maintenance problems through proper communication channels
  • uses supplies and equipment carefully
  • wears proper uniform
  • achieves a score of 90% or higher on room inspections
  • greets guests pleasantly
  • demonstrates knowledge of hotel and local area products and information
  • organizes and stocks carts efficiently
