The Room Attendant plays a critical role in supporting the hotel’s mission by ensuring that each guest room meets stringent cleanliness and comfort standards. Beyond routine cleaning tasks, the Room Attendant also performs detailed inspections to verify the condition and functionality of all room features, including bathrooms and, where applicable, kitchen areas. Attention to detail is paramount, particularly in managing lost and found items, respecting guest privacy, and adhering to ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs.

Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to sanitation protocols, including the handling of cleaning chemicals as per Safety Data Sheets (SDS), are compulsory to ensure not only guest safety but also personal well-being. Job Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment highly desired
  • ability to communicate verbally and in writing to follow job duties
  • ability to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays
  • must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
  • must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions
  • must be able to push up to 75 pounds and lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in hospitality or housekeeping beneficial
  • strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards
  • make beds, change linens, and replace towels
  • dust, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces
  • replenish amenities such as soap, shampoo, water, coffee
  • ensure bathrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked with supplies
  • clean kitchen areas and maintain appliances where applicable
  • check and report maintenance issues

  • restock housekeeping carts and maintain cleanliness
