Job Description

Springboard Hospitality is a premier third-party hotel management company with over 30 years of experience in transforming lifestyle hotels across diverse locations, from the islands of Hawaii to the tip of Florida. Known for its wide-ranging portfolio, Springboard Hospitality prides itself on fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and community engagement. The company brings together a diverse team consisting of independent innovators, savvy storytellers, adventure-seekers, tech entrepreneurs, free-thinkers, and community leaders who work collectively to shape extraordinary hotel experiences. Springboard Hospitality is dedicated to surpassing expectations by delivering hotels that not only provide memorable moments for guests but also transform properties and communities. Its commitment runs deep into empowering travelers’ journeys by inviting them to engage with the local culture, promoting authentic human connections, discovery, and exploration while driving revenue efficiently.

This role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and all assigned areas within the hotel including guest corridors, elevators, and public spaces. The housekeeper is responsible for delivering various items to guest rooms such as irons, towels, and extra pillows, ensuring guests experience comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. The position requires daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, as well as pool and health club facilities. Candidates with availability for open shifts or the evening shift are preferred, supporting the dynamic needs of hotel operations. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, Executive Housekeeper, or Housekeeping Manager, this role supports the entire housekeeping team by contributing to both the upkeep and the overall guest experience.

This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to walk, kneel, stoop, and stand for the entirety of the shift while performing medium work that involves lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds occasionally. Key responsibilities include stripping beds, removing soiled linens and trash in a prescribed manner, and ensuring all guest rooms and common areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently. The role also involves dusting furniture, cleaning kitchen and bathroom surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, and carefully inspecting rooms for maintenance issues or lost articles. Effective communication and a friendly, courteous demeanor towards guests, managers, and peers are essential.

Candidates are expected to be adaptable to fluctuating workloads based on hotel occupancy and capable of multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing daily tasks. Working well in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision is crucial to success. The ideal candidate must exhibit excellent attention to detail, speed, efficiency, and the ability to follow directions effectively while maintaining confidentiality regarding guest and hotel information. Prior hospitality experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Opera, and web analytics tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a college degree considered an advantage. This position also requires a strong understanding of property safety and security procedures to maintain a safe environment for both employees and guests.

Springboard Hospitality fosters an intentional and empowering workplace culture, focused on nurturing and developing hospitality leaders of today and tomorrow. The company offers generous benefits, a commitment to work-life balance, and numerous opportunities for career advancement. With zero corporate turnover during the pandemic and plans for future growth, Springboard Hospitality is a stable and inspiring environment for professionals seeking to grow within the hospitality industry. The company believes in equal opportunity employment and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
