Job Description
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is a prestigious luxury hotel brand under the Marriott International portfolio, renowned for combining timeless glamour with a cutting-edge spirit. With more than 50 luxury hotels and resorts located in some of the most sought-after destinations worldwide, St. Regis is dedicated to delivering exquisite, tailor-made experiences for its guests. Founded in the early 20th century with the debut of the St. Regis New York by John Jacob Astor IV, the brand has maintained an unyielding commitment to exceptional service. This includes anticipatory, flawless hospitality delivered by a gracious team of hosts who fuse classic sophistication with modern sensibilities, including the signature butler service.
The St. Regis Chicago, located at 401 E Upper Wacker Drive, is one of the brand's iconic properties in an urban setting, offering guests luxury accommodations and world-class services. Within this environment, the hotel strives to uphold its reputation for perfection in guest experience and attention to detail, essential for maintaining guest loyalty and satisfaction.
The Housekeeping and Laundry department at The St. Regis Chicago plays a pivotal role in delivering the immaculate and inviting environment that guests expect. The Full-Time Housekeeping position is non-management and offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.50. This role requires a flexible schedule preference, including availability on weekends and holidays, reflecting the hospitality industry's dynamic nature.
In this role, the housekeeper is the first point of contact for guests when they enter their rooms. The impact of the housekeeper's work is immediately felt — from the pristine, neatly arranged bedding and perfectly placed pillows to spotless mirrors and well-organized furniture and appliances. Each detail is meticulously handled to ensure an impeccable environment that feels like a home away from home for guests, whether they stay for a night or an extended period.
Housekeepers are entrusted with key responsibilities such as replacing guest amenities and room supplies, making beds, folding linens, removing trash and soiled items, greeting guests warmly, and responding to their requests. The role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude. It requires the physical ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds, stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods, and maintain a professional appearance in clean uniform attire.
Before employment, candidates will undergo safety training and certification to ensure a secure workplace. The hotel supports its staff with a motivating leadership team, wellness programs, learning and development opportunities, recognition initiatives, and employee discounts on accommodations, dining, and gift shop purchases.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), although no prior related work or supervisory experience is required. The ideal candidate will embody a courteous, people-focused demeanor and prioritize team success. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a renowned luxury brand where one can grow professionally and contribute to the creation of memorable guest experiences in a supportive, inclusive environment. Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, ensuring a welcoming workplace for all associates. Benefits include health care, retirement plans, paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, and other wellness benefits, subject to eligibility and conditions.
Joining The St. Regis Chicago means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence, where you can do your best work, fulfill your purpose, and grow into your best self in a prestigious luxury hospitality setting.
