Job Description

The role we are currently offering is that of a Housekeeping Attendant, an integral position within our operations team responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across all hotel areas. This is a full-time position designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic about ensuring an immaculate environment for our guests and staff. The Housekeeping Attendant will carry out a variety of cleaning tasks such as making beds in guest rooms, replenishing supplies, cleaning public and private spaces including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, and various other work areas.
The position requires operating a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, as well as performing duties related to laundry services such as washing, drying, sorting, folding, and storing linens and other textiles. Furthermore, the role involves general maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, emptying waste receptacles, polishing fixtures, and ensuring that all areas uphold the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
This role demands physical stamina including standing for long periods, walking extended distances, lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds, and performing tasks that require good manual dexterity. The Housekeeping Attendant will also need to be comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and in slightly noisy or dusty environments while adhering to all safety protocols to protect themselves and others.
Ideal candidates should possess the ability to follow both oral and written instructions carefully, consistently perform routine tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and contribute positively to the team environment. While no prior experience is required, possessing a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred to ensure understanding of instructions and safety guidelines. Job Duties
- Make beds in guest rooms
- replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies and bathroom supplies in guest rooms
- clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
- clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaner
- dust furniture and equipment
- polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
- wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays
- transport trash and waste to disposal area
- replace light bulbs
- collect soiled linens for laundering and receive and store linen supplies in linen closet
- load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent
- lift clean, wet articles from washer and place them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles
- sort dried articles according to identification number or type
- fold and place items in appropriate storage bin
- perform other duties as assigned including Houseman, Laundry and Room Attendant
