We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dynamic team. This full-time position plays a critical role in delivering outstanding guest services by cleaning and servicing guest rooms and bathrooms efficiently and thoroughly. The role involves changing linens, vacuuming, dusting surfaces, cleaning mirrors, and ensuring that every room is inviting and up to our brand standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization and security of your supplies and equipment, promptly reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns, and responding to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and friendliness.
As part of your duties, you will follow specific procedures and company standards, including team cleaning initiatives and self-inspection programs, aimed at guaranteeing cleanliness excellence. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job such as lifting and standing for long periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Reliable and punctual
- Adherence to company policies and standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and standards
- Strong communication skills for reporting and guest interaction
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to cleaning
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
Job Duties
- Cleans and services assigned guest rooms and bathrooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards
- Changes sheets, makes beds and vacuum in both stay-over and check out guest rooms
- Dusts entire guest room including tables, nightstands, dressers, light fixtures, televisions, air condition units, and window ledges in all rooms
- Cleans all mirrors
- Notifies guest services (front desk) when service is complete so rooms may be sold
- Reports any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to the supervisor
- Reports needed repairs of unsafe conditions to the supervisor
- Responds to requests from guests, supervisors or management in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintains linen cart and supplies neat and organized to department standards
- Maintains the security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued each day
- Reports lost and found articles to the supervisor
- Replaces light bulbs
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area
- Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing, bathroom supplies, and linen
- Cleans rooms in accordance to the specific brand and company minutes per room standard
- Follows procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner
- Reports appropriate complaints or requests to the appropriate department
- Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
- Keeps Room Attendant station clean and organized, and makes Sofa beds
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
