Position Summary and Role Description
The role of Room Attendant at Choice Hotels International is pivotal in ensuring 100% guest satisfaction, primarily by providing guests with clean, comfortable, and safe rooms. Room Attendants are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that directly contribute to creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for guests. Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning assigned guest rooms or suites in accordance with brand standards—this includes making beds, vacuuming, dusting, arranging room furniture if required, and thoroughly sanitizing bathrooms. They maintain cleaning protocols to ensure cleanliness and safety, empty trash containers and replace liners, and restock usable items such as soap, towels, amenities, and paper products in guest rooms. Additionally, they handle the removal and proper disposal of guest room trays, glassware, and silverware, and keep exterior entryways and hallways clean.
An essential part of this role involves maintaining linen closets and supply areas in an organized and sanitary condition. Room Attendants must also promptly handle guest laundry and dry-cleaning orders, report any special room issues or maintenance needs to supervisors, address guest complaints or requests with empathy and efficiency, and ensure that rooms are secured upon completion of service.
This position requires attention to detail, personal responsibility, and strong teamwork skills while providing service that aligns with the Radisson experience and other managed hotel brands under the Choice Hotels umbrella.
