Job Requirements

Driver's license required
Willingness to submit to a 10-panel drug test
Must be self-motivated and open-minded
Ability to accept constructive criticism
Ability to meet physical demands of the job including standing for long periods, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and varied lighting conditions
Ability to use ladders, scaffolds, and stairways
Ability to work at heights and in potentially dangerous conditions

Job Qualifications

General construction experience preferred
Ability to follow safety techniques and procedures
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team
Ability to read and use tape measure and mark distances
Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
Ability to communicate problems effectively to foremen
Ability to identify and resolve problems timely

Job Duties

Assist roofers and foremen with preparing the job site
Assist with installation of vapor barriers and insulation layers
Cover roofs with various materials including metal, shingles, single-ply systems, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, and related materials
Operate hand and power tools
Clean up debris from the roof and surrounding property
Repair cracks and defects using proper materials
Apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings
