Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a distinguished restaurant group committed to cultivating a culture of respect, dignity, and care within their teams, emphasizing the philosophy, "We serve the person who is serving the guest." This core belief is not just expressed in customer-facing roles but starts behind the scenes in the kitchen, where every team member is valued and supported. With locations across major cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park, Rocket Farm Restaurants has built a reputation for innovation, high-quality service, and a positive workplace environment where employees are encouraged to grow and thrive.

Rocket Farm Restaurants is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in managing the hourly and back-of-house staff and assists with the day-to-day operations of all kitchen areas including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. A vital part of this role is ensuring that every line cook is thoroughly trained to prepare menu items that follow established recipes to maintain consistency in both presentation and flavor.

The Sous Chef will serve as the right hand to the Executive Chef and provide leadership in their absence. The position demands someone who is a natural leader capable of motivating and inspiring a cohesive kitchen team while maintaining composure under pressure. Candidates should bring a minimum of three years of progressive culinary experience, including at least one year in a lead cook or Sous Chef role. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a heartfelt group of professionals within an innovative and supportive environment.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, based on experience. Additionally, there is a generous quarterly bonus program that rewards the dedication and hard work of the kitchen staff. Full benefit eligibility begins after 30 days of employment, offering comprehensive major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverages.

Joining Rocket Farm Restaurants means more than just a job; it means being part of a family that supports your career through specialized leadership training at Rocket Farm University and provides personalized paths for professional advancement. Employees also benefit from dynamic performance-based raises and promotions, generous paid time off including childbirth recovery and parental leave, significant long-term retention bonuses, and time off on most major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Beyond tangible benefits, Rocket Farm Restaurants fosters a supportive and ethical work environment. Employees enjoy a 50 percent discount at all restaurant locations, are empowered through mentorship programs, and have opportunities to participate in the Advisory Council and Safety Committee, making this a career destination for chefs who want to make a meaningful impact. Rocket Farm Restaurants is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies fully with federal employment laws to ensure a fair and inclusive hiring process. This role is perfect for culinary professionals looking to grow their leadership skills and work in a thriving environment that values every member of the team.
