Job Description
Rocket Farm Restaurants is a well-established and renowned restaurant group known for its strong ethical culture and commitment to treating both employees and guests with dignity, respect, and care. The group operates multiple locations across several major cities, including Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park. Rocket Farm Restaurants emphasize creating an inclusive and supportive work environment where teamwork and mutual respect are paramount. This philosophy of "serving the person who is serving the guest" ensures a positive and productive atmosphere that extends from the kitchen to front-of-house and ultimately to the dining experience. Known for their dynamic and heartfelt team, Rocket Farm combines culinary innovation with a culture that supports growth and professional development through initiatives such as Rocket Farm University and employee-led mentorship programs.
The Executive Sous Chef role at Rocket Farm Restaurants in Nashville is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all kitchen areas. This role requires a strategic and hands-on professional to manage culinary production, prep work, stewarding, and special events while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. The Executive Sous Chef serves as the right hand to the Executive Chef, stepping into that role as needed, and is responsible for team leadership, scheduling, labor cost management, purchasing, and inventory control. This position demands a calm demeanor under pressure and the ability to lead a cohesive culinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have at least five years of progressive culinary experience, including two years specifically in a sous chef role. In addition to a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually based on experience, this position offers a generous quarterly bonus program.
Rocket Farm Restaurants pride themselves on offering comprehensive benefits and a work culture that promotes professional growth and a healthy work-life balance. Employees become eligible for full benefits after just 30 days of employment, including major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Additional perks include paid time off, childbirth recovery and parental leave, significant long-term retention bonuses, and time off on key holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Employees enjoy a 50% discount at all Rocket Farm locations nationwide, access to specialized leadership classes and career advancement support, and active participation in advisory and safety committees. This combination of competitive pay, benefits, and culture makes Rocket Farm Restaurants an attractive employer for culinary professionals who value both career development and a positive workplace environment.
