Job Description

Dish Society is a renowned fine fast casual restaurant group based in the Houston area that prides itself on delivering chef-driven dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, complemented by craft coffee and a full bar program. The restaurant emphasizes a commitment to good food, good vibes, and even better people, creating memorable guest experiences from breakfast through their award-winning brunch. Dish Society is more than just a restaurant; it is a growing brand built on a strong internal culture and community focus, encouraging team members to grow into leadership roles and impact guest satisfaction positively.

The Roaming Front of House (FOH) Leader role at Dish Society is a dynamic leadership position designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and versatile in their approach. This full-time position requires open availability and a flexible mindset, as the leader will support multiple Dish Society locations throughout the Houston area, including neighborhoods like Heights and Memorial. The Roaming FOH Leader will be pivotal in ensuring consistent service and operational standards across all assigned stores, acting as a culture carrier who promotes the brand values and guest service excellence.

In this role, the leader will manage and mentor front of house team members, providing real-time coaching and leadership while supporting both front of house and back of house teams to guarantee smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include leading shifts, communicating effectively with diverse teams, driving guest satisfaction through proactive problem solving and engagement, and stepping in wherever needed on the floor – from running food and making drinks to managing guest recovery and assisting the kitchen during busy periods. The position demands a strong presence on the floor, adaptability to different environments, and the ability to identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements.

This position offers approximately 40 to 45 hours per week, with shifts varying between mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands. Due to the multi-store coverage nature, the ability to commute between locations and adjust the schedule weekly is essential. Dish Society values leaders who are calm under pressure, excel in conflict resolution, and demonstrate meticulous attention to cleanliness, detail, and presentation. The role also requires certifications such as Food Manager Certification and TABC Certification, either held or obtained promptly after hiring.

Overall, the Roaming FOH Leader role offers an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals eager to develop leadership skills, contribute to a growing restaurant brand, and deliver exceptional guest experiences across multiple vibrant locations.
