The role of Road Supervisor at MV Transportation is critical within the operational framework of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing street-level operations to ensure adherence to client contracts, operational excellence, and stringent safety requirements. The Road Supervisor acts as a vital link between the operations team and front-line service delivery, performing a variety of duties that include conducting site checks, monitoring on-time performance, managing incidents, and ensuring vehicle compliance.

Responsibilities include conducting wheelchair securement checks to ensure accessibility compliance, verifying vehicle cleanliness, managing accidents and incidents by collecting necessary data, and coordinating communication between various internal departments such as dispatch, operations, and maintenance. The Road Supervisor also plays an instrumental role in problem-solving on the road by identifying traffic disruptions and rerouting requirements, ensuring that schedules are maintained despite any external challenges.

Job Duties

  • Conduct site checks and road observations according to client and local policy
  • Document findings accordingly and provide necessary reports to project staff
  • Conduct wheelchair securement and vehicle cleanliness checks on in service vehicles
  • Monitor street operations for on-time performance and schedule and route adherence
  • Provide customer information for site personnel and at key locations
  • Respond to accidents and incidents assisting to manage the situation as well as collecting all required information, assist dispatch and operations staff in resuming service levels according to contract specifications and minimizing passenger disruptions
  • Accompany operators to medical facilities as required after accident or injury, ensure proper administration of post-accident drug and alcohol testing
