This extensive infrastructure enables the company to offer regional, interregional, and long-haul transportation services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its clientele. The company specializes in carrying palletized goods and heavy LTL shipments, utilizing advanced tracking technologies to ensure smooth and transparent freight movements, enhancing customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.
This open position is for a Road Driver role within TForce Freight's dynamic and expanding team. The Road Driver is a critical part of the company’s operations, responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across both regional and non-regional routes. Dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, the successful candidate will take charge of timely deliveries, excellent cargo handling, and maintaining high standards of communication. This role demands a strong customer-focused attitude, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Offering hourly wages of $30.56, this is a full-time opportunity that includes a comprehensive benefits package. Employees receive a company-paid pension, nine paid company holidays, and access to a family medical plan with low-cost premiums under $150 per month. Additionally, TForce offers free individual medical plans for eligible employees, making the benefits quite competitive within the freight and logistics industry. This position also encourages a career growth path in a supportive and fast-paced work environment where teamwork and responsibility are highly valued.
The Road Driver will be tasked with operating commercial vehicles, securing freight appropriately for transport, conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and adhering strictly to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle driving logs accurately, collaborate with dispatch management, and provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving challenges during the transportation process.
This role suits individuals who are at least 21 years old, hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements, and have a complete 10-year employment history in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Passionate safety performers who can read, write, and speak English proficiently and are authorized to work in the U.S. will find this position rewarding.
