The role available is for a Road Driver, a key position within the logistics framework. This position is responsible for the careful and timely transport of freight across various routes, including regional and non-regional lanes. The pay rate for this role is $30.56 per hour with specific mileage rates—$0.7071 per single mile and $0.3731 per sleeper mile—offering competitive compensation tied directly to performance.
As a Road Driver at TForce Freight, you will operate commercial vehicles equipped to transport diverse goods safely and efficiently. The job demands rigorous adherence to loading protocols to ensure cargo is securely fastened before departure. Exceptional customer service skills are paramount as the role involves frequent interaction with customers to manage schedules, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly. Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly reporting any maintenance requirements to maintain operational integrity and safety.
Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal transportation regulations is mandatory, highlighting TForce Freight’s commitment to safety and legal standards. Accurate maintenance of driving logs, route details, and cargo conditions is also required to support operational oversight and regulatory adherence. Job Requirements
- Valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) in resident state
- Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Meet all DOT and company requirements
- Able to perform essential job functions safely
- Proficient in English reading, writing and speaking
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Complete 10 year employment history in accordance with FMCSA regulations
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
- Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
- Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
