TForce Freight is currently hiring for the position of Road Driver, a critical role within their expanding logistics team. The Road Driver will be responsible for the timely and safe transportation of freight across both regional and non-regional routes. This role demands a reliable, customer-oriented professional who excels in communication and has a strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations. The Road Driver will play a vital role in ensuring excellent service delivery by handling, transporting, and delivering goods while maintaining adherence to all federal, state, and local transportation laws. With a highly competitive pay rate starting at $30.56 per hour and additional mileage compensation for both single and sleeper miles, this role also offers a range of benefits including a pension plan, 401K, paid time off, and other excellent employee benefits.

This position requires operating commercial vehicles, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, properly securing cargo, and maintaining accurate records related to driving hours and cargo conditions. The Road Driver will work closely with dispatch management teams to coordinate schedules and report any logistical challenges encountered on the route. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • valid class a commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • minimum of 2 years driving experience in LTL freight or similar
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading
  • compliance with FMCSA regulations including a complete 10 year employment history
  • ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • excellent communication skills
  • positive, customer-focused attitude
  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • legally authorized to work in the u.s.
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to maintain safety standards and follow regulatory guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements

Job Duties

  • operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
