We are currently seeking to add a dependable and skilled Road Driver to our growing team who will be responsible for executing the safe and timely delivery of freight across various regional and non-regional routes. The Road Driver role at TForce Freight involves operating commercial vehicles to transport goods securely, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and adhering strictly to all transportation regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for proper loading and securing of cargo, managing detailed logs related to driving hours and cargo conditions, and maintaining clear communication with dispatch and management teams to coordinate schedules, address delays, and resolve any issues during freight transit. This position requires candidates to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including providing a complete 10-year employment history.

Job Requirements

  • Valid class A commercial driver's license (CDL) in resident state
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company requirements
  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely without risk of injury
  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Complete 10-year employment history according to FMCSA regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
