We are currently inviting applications for the position of Road Driver to join our expanding team. This role is vital in maintaining the seamless movement of freight across both regional and non-regional routes. The selected candidate will be entrusted with safely operating commercial vehicles, ensuring that all shipments are delivered on schedule, and upholding the highest standards of customer service. As a Road Driver, you will be responsible for all facets of transportation including pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, secure loading of cargo, and adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety regulations. Communication with dispatch and management to address daily scheduling and any emergent issues will be a key function of this role. We seek a professional with a positive, customer-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Candidates must comply with FMCSA regulations by providing a complete 10-year employment history as part of the application process, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance are paramount. Job Requirements

  • Valid class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Compliance with all Department of Transportation and company safety regulations
  • Ability to perform essential job functions without risk of injury
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Completion of a 10-year employment history as per FMCSA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • Valid class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in resident state
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • Meet all DOT and Company requirements
  • Safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
