TForce Freight is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Road Driver to join its expanding logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless transportation of freight across various regional and non-regional routes. The Road Driver will be expected to uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism while handling the diverse freight that the company manages. This position is ideal for individuals who have a positive, customer-focused attitude and possess excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams alike.

The Road Driver will actively engage in the loading and securing of cargo, ensuring that all shipments are transported safely and efficiently. The role also includes performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any necessary maintenance, and adhering to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Maintaining accurate logs for driving hours, routes, and cargo conditions is critical to compliance and operational effectiveness. Additionally, the Road Driver will communicate regularly with the dispatch management team to update on schedules, delays, or any issues that may arise during transportation.

Job Requirements

  • valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • meet all DOT and company requirements
  • safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
