Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing
  • Two years of job-related leadership experience
  • Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes Title XXXII, Chapter 464, Part I which includes multistate compact licensure

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing
  • Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes Title XXXII, Chapter 464, Part I which includes multistate compact licensure
  • Two years of job-related leadership experience
  • Strongly preferred bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Preferred three years of progressively responsible administrative nursing experience

Job Duties

  • Directly supervising and managing RN/Assistant Nurse Managers in inpatient units and behavioral emergency services team
  • Overseeing staff training, staffing schedules, hiring and termination processes, patient flow, performance monitoring and adherence to Behavioral Health Center policies and procedures, The Joint Commission standards, and State of Florida licensure standards
  • Monitoring nursing-related program performance metrics
  • Acting as a delegate in the Director of Inpatient Services' absence
  • Overseeing nursing students in inpatient units
  • Representing the Behavioral Health Center at hospital-wide nursing meetings as directed
  • Promoting consistent and consolidated direction in nursing care according to nursing practice philosophy and ethical guidelines
