The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator plays a crucial role within Jefferson Health’s Trauma Program. This position is responsible for the coordination and ongoing management of the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program, ensuring alignment with Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) Standards of Accreditation. Reporting to the Trauma Program Manager and working in close collaboration with the Trauma Program Medical Director and multidisciplinary clinical teams, the coordinator ensures continuous evaluation of trauma care delivery, timely case reviews, identification of significant events, loop closure, and accurate documentation throughout the performance improvement process. The role requires analysis of trauma data, identification of trends, participation in corrective action discussions, and driving system-wide improvements that enhance patient outcomes while maintaining trauma center accreditation readiness.

This position demands professionals who demonstrate an understanding of the functional and developmental ages of the individuals served, spanning patients of all ages. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator must have a strong foundation in clinical nursing, preferably in Emergency Medicine, Trauma, or Critical Care settings, accompanied by experience in quality or performance improvement initiatives.
