Job Description

HealthPark Care and Rehabilitation Center is a well-established skilled nursing facility located in Fort Myers, Florida. Nestled within the HealthPark Campus, it offers a one-level building environment with 112 beds dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to its residents. With a commitment to excellence in nursing and rehabilitation services, the center fosters an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. The position available is for a full-time Evening Nursing Supervisor, working from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Monday through Friday, with some flexibility to accommodate patient and business needs. This role is non-exempt and paid hourly with additional evening differential compensation. The hourly pay rate ranges from $38.48 to $50.01 plus a $3.00 per hour evening differential, reflecting the valuable expertise required for this supervisory role. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for managing one or more defined areas of organized patient care services within the skilled nursing department. They play a critical role in leadership by directing and coordinating patient care staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care.

This role requires a professional who embodies the five areas of nursing practice: clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional developer. The Supervisor will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support the center's vision and mission. Responsibilities include adherence to nursing standards based on the American Nurses Association and compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The Nursing Supervisor must implement nursing care strategies that integrate patient age, cultural diversity, and individual needs while promoting a professional and supportive nursing environment. By employing performance improvement techniques and outstanding customer service, the Supervisor contributes to the continuous enhancement of nursing care quality at HealthPark Care and Rehabilitation Center. This leadership position demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of current nursing theories, and the ability to manage budgets effectively to support organizational goals while ensuring patient-centered care.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of nursing care delivery theories
  • Ability to participate in organizational care improvement strategies
  • Understanding of budget development and management
  • Certification in nursing administration or specialty preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Previous nursing leadership experience preferred
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Florida
  • Knowledge of current nursing care theoretical approaches
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage nursing budget
  • Certification in Nursing Administration or specialty preferred
