Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum 3 years inpatient psychiatric experience or equivalent
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification required
- Valid California Driver’s License and proof of automotive insurance
- Behavioral Management Training mandated by hospital
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move quickly
- Ability to adjust vision as required by job duties
Job Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification
- Behavioral Management Training as mandated by hospital
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years inpatient psychiatric nursing experience or equivalent
- Valid California Drivers License and proof of automotive insurance
- Ability to perform physical demands of the position
Job Duties
- Coordinate staff services to patients during the designated shift
- assure patient care meets developmental and age-appropriate standards
- assess unit staffing needs and collaborate with staffing coordinator and nursing leadership
- manage patient care delivery effectively during the shift
- utilize nursing process and organizational leadership skills to maintain high quality care
- act as a resource for nursing staff and support clinical operations
- respond to emergency and crisis situations as needed
