Job Description

LifeBridge Health is a dynamic and purpose-driven health system that is redefining care delivery across the mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Anchored by its mission to improve the health of people in the communities it serves, LifeBridge Health is committed to advancing health access, enhancing patient experiences, and fostering a system that embraces bold ideas and prioritizes community-centered care. With over 14,000 employees, 130 care locations, and two million annual patient encounters, LifeBridge Health is a robust organization with a strategic focus on growth, innovation, and deep community commitment. It operates five leading centers in the Baltimore area including Sinai Hospital, Grace Medical Center, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. The organization thrives in a culture named CARE BRAVELY, where compassion, courage, and urgency guide every decision to empower teams who shape the future of healthcare.

The role of the Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant at Sinai Hospital offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to support new parents through expert lactation consulting. This full-time position with a weekend commitment involves working day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm. The salary range for this role is competitive, ranging from $41.00 to $59.00 per hour based on experience. As a lactation consultant, you will provide evidence-based education, hands-on assistance, and compassionate guidance to promote successful breastfeeding and infant nutrition. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assessing family needs, overcoming feeding challenges, and ensuring parents feel confident throughout their hospital experience.

In this role, you will deliver individualized lactation assessments, education, and hands-on support to breastfeeding families. The position also entails collaboration with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to create and implement tailored feeding plans. Furthermore, you will document consultations and track outcomes while ensuring care adheres to hospital policies and evidence-based best practices. An important responsibility includes providing lactation management competency training for new staff and students, alongside offering ongoing education for physicians and interdisciplinary patient care teams. This role is ideal for someone passionate about maternal and newborn care who is eager to make a significant impact on the health of infants and mothers within a supportive and innovative healthcare system.
