This role is for a full-time RN Float nurse on the night shift (7pm to 7am), requiring at least one year of medical-surgical (Med Surg) experience. The RN Float position is essential in coordinating patient care within the hospital’s nursing model. Nurses hired for this role will assess individual patient needs, create and adjust personalized nursing care plans, and continuously evaluate patient responses to care. They work to ensure safety, comfort, and quality outcomes for patients, families, and staff. This involves addressing physical and emotional pain, personalizing care by embracing patient diversity, educating patients and their families continuously, and collaborating closely with team members and community resources. By effectively delegating nursing interventions based on clinical guidelines and team member competencies, the RN Float plays a pivotal role in facilitating smooth healthcare delivery transitions and enhancing patient outcomes.
