Job Description

The hiring institution is a well-established healthcare facility located in New Mexico, dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate patient care. This institution is committed to upholding the highest standards of nursing practice, patient safety, and quality service, aligned with regulatory bodies such as the Joint Commission and CMS. The organization values professionalism, excellence, and teamwork, fostering an environment where patients and their families receive holistic care through effective interdisciplinary collaboration. As a respected healthcare provider, this establishment continually seeks to innovate and improve patient outcomes by integrating evidence-based practices and patient-centered approaches in every aspect of care delivery. The Clinical Supervisor role offered is a full-time position with multiple shifts available within this dynamic and patient-focused environment. The role is integral to the nursing department, reporting directly to the Nursing Department Director or Manager. The Clinical Supervisor is primarily responsible for the shift-to-shift leadership and safe, high-quality nursing care within a clinical department. This includes guiding unit operations using prudent human resource management and budget principles. The supervisor supports and enhances patient and family care services by actively participating with multidisciplinary teams alongside conducting direct patient care as necessary. The position demands a leadership style that models professionalism and clinical excellence, serving as a resource and coach for nursing associates. Clinical Supervisors ensure compliance with nursing standards, regulatory guidelines, and healthcare policies while fostering a culture centered on patient safety, quality, and satisfaction. They are instrumental in driving change initiatives, resolving conflicts constructively, and improving work team cohesion. Responsibilities span patient experience monitoring, staff scheduling, infection control, clinical competency reinforcement, emergency management, and quality improvement activities. Supervisors also play a critical role in mentoring nursing associates, guiding clinical practice, managing resources prudently, and supporting continuous professional development. This role requires a nurse who can adeptly balance leadership duties with direct patient care responsibilities, maintaining clinical proficiency and promoting a safe, supportive, and effective healthcare delivery environment. The Clinical Supervisor ensures all regulatory and safety standards are met while facilitating smooth unit operations and excellent patient outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to significantly impact nursing quality, staff performance, and patient satisfaction within a progressive healthcare setting that values dedication, skill, and collaborative care.
