Reporting directly to the Nursing Department Director/Manager, the Clinical Supervisor assumes responsibility for overseeing the daily operations across nursing shifts ensuring both safety and quality in patient care. This includes managing nursing staff performance, coaching and mentoring team members, and providing hands-on support when necessary. The Clinical Supervisor employs sound human resource and budget principles to optimize nursing services while maintaining a high standard of care.

Beyond supervising staff and patient care, this position demands a proactive leader who champions change, addresses operational obstacles, and seeks resources for continuous improvement. The Clinical Supervisor performs patient experience rounds, engages in service recovery, manages patient flow metrics, and promotes cohesive teamwork. Compliance monitoring with infection control, medication administration, safety protocols, and national patient safety goals is a key responsibility to safeguard patient well-being.

Critical functions also include facilitating multi-disciplinary unit rounds, managing emergency situations such as Code Blue and Rapid Response Team events, and ensuring thorough communication during patient transitions.
