Job Description

The hiring establishment is a renowned healthcare facility located in the Lower Hudson Valley, recognized for its high-quality maternal-child health services and commitment to excellence. This hospital has earned multiple accolades including 5-Star CMS Quality Ratings, repeated recognition as a "Best Regional Hospital" by U.S. News & World Report for several years, and prestigious certifications such as Nursing & Clinical Distinction Magnet® Recognition and Joint Commission Certifications. The institution prides itself on fostering a high-reliability culture with innovation-forward leadership, optimized workflows, and advanced healthcare tools to deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care.

The position available is for an RN Clinical Lead specializing in Lactation Services within the Mother-Baby Unit. This role is pivotal in leading compassionate, high-impact lactation care, aimed at elevating Baby-Friendly excellence and supporting breastfeeding through evidence-based practices. Reporting directly to the Nurse Manager, the RN Clinical Lead collaborates closely with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and interdisciplinary teams to shape lactation practices at the top of their license. The role entails guiding clinical orientation and ongoing education, organizing parent education programs and outpatient lactation resources, ensuring compliance with Human Donor Milk policies, and tracking infant feeding metrics. The position also involves stewarding the Baby-Friendly designation, advancing quality improvement initiatives, supporting infection prevention protocols, and delivering direct patient care as needed.

This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an outcomes-focused, mission-driven environment that values professional growth and measurable quality improvements. The candidate will thrive in a supportive and diverse team culture with friendly nursing colleagues, unified by the shared goal of providing the highest standard of maternal and newborn care. The hospital’s exceptional reputation is complemented by its location which offers an enviable quality of life featuring riverfront trails, hiking opportunities, four-season natural beauty, vibrant arts and dining scenes, excellent educational resources, and convenient transportation links including regional airports and proximity to New York City.

The RN Clinical Lead - Lactation Services position is a full-time employment opportunity that comes with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plan with employer match, and generous paid time off. The role is ideal for a nursing professional passionate about lactation care and leadership, seeking to make a meaningful impact on families' health outcomes while advancing their career in a respected and innovative healthcare setting. Interested candidates are encouraged to connect with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter to explore this rewarding career move with confidence.
