The organization prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where employees are valued for their unique experiences and contributions. With a strong emphasis on community and spiritual growth, AdventHealth offers its team members the opportunity to thrive both professionally and personally while delivering compassionate and high-quality patient care. The culture at AdventHealth is purpose-minded, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork to achieve better outcomes for patients and families alike.
This particular role is based in Denver, Colorado at the facility located at 2525 S Downing St and is a full-time, day-shift position. The nurse coordinator here plays a vital role in managing and coordinating patient care across various departments, including the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), inpatient units, radiology, and anesthesia. This position requires a seasoned registered nurse with the ability to develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive patient assessments and medical orders. The nurse coordinator will monitor patient progress closely, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role includes significant leadership duties such as managing daily schedules, overseeing the endoscopy schedule, and ensuring proper staffing and equipment availability. The nurse coordinator acts as a resource for staff, providing guidance on procedures, equipment use, and patient care management.
This role demands excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers. The nurse coordinator is responsible for prioritizing patient needs based on acuity and urgency, facilitating communication among the healthcare team, and supervising nursing assistants and support staff. A critical part of the position involves educating patients and their families about care plans and treatments to encourage self-care and disease management. Responsiveness is key in this role, as the nurse coordinator must act promptly in emergencies to provide immediate care and stabilize patients.
Moreover, the nurse coordinator contributes to quality improvement initiatives aimed at maintaining the highest standards of patient care and efficient unit operation. The facility offers competitive pay ranging from $35.04 to $65.17 per hour and provides comprehensive benefits from day one including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, a 403-B retirement plan, paid parental leave, and mental health resources. Career development opportunities and whole-person well-being resources are also available, reflecting AdventHealth's commitment to employee growth and support. This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse looking to join a mission-driven healthcare organization that values collaboration, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
