This position is within a hospitality establishment that prioritizes excellent service, particularly in beverage and cocktail service provision. The Bartender role involves professional beverage preparation and service, ensuring that clientele receives prompt, accurate, and courteous assistance. The incumbent will use Point-of-Sale (POS) systems to properly log orders and transactions, manage cash handling, and maintain guest satisfaction through knowledgeable interaction about products, menu offerings, and local services. Additionally, the bartender supports operational aspects such as inventory management and bar setup to provide a seamless service experience. This role demands adherence to relevant alcohol serving laws and the ability to promote and maintain a safe and clean environment. The bartender also plays a key part in facilitating effective communication and guest relations, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the establishment. This position requires a candidate who is physically capable of managing the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and managing supplies, while meeting the standard regulations and policies of the company.

Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Previous bartending experience or equivalent education, training or experience
- Ability to communicate in English, written and oral
- Ability to operate equipment such as glassware washing machines and ice machines
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling and using hands repetitively
- Must obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness Card
- Flexible availability to work holidays, nights, and weekends
- Knowledge of alcohol service laws and regulations
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Capable of working in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Knowledge of serving alcohol with care and menu products
- Superior knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in regard to alcohol service
- Ability to operate a glassware washing machine, refill ice and beer bins, utilize ice machines, change kegs and transport empty kegs
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral
- Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills
- Skills including compiling, coordination, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment and decision making
- Flexible working schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as business needs dictate
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Alcohol Awareness Card
Job Duties
- Prepare and provide proper and professional beverage service to all guests and cocktail staff in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Input and ring-up charges for guest's orders using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times including removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, emptying garbage, sweeping/mopping floors, scrubbing/sanitizing equipment
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar on a daily basis including before, after and during shift
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice
- Make constant contact with both internal and external guests to provide optimal guest service
- Make recommendations to guests, offer beverages with ordered meal
- Assist the management team with orders and inventory as needed
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
