The Flex Security Officer position at Securitas is pivotal in maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and providing quality customer service. This role is ideal for individuals with or without prior security experience since comprehensive training is provided to help candidates transition effectively into the security industry. The Flex Security Officer is responsible for patrolling various locations, managing access control, monitoring entry and exit points, and responding to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or severe weather.
This position requires someone with professional composure, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be available to work any day and any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable communication and transportation
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening including drug test and background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or willingness to complete GED within six months
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing environments
- Professional composure in challenging situations
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Clear oral and written communication
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet state, county, and municipal licensing requirements
Job Duties
- Manage admittance to client sites, screen visitors, and assist employees and guests
- Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions that reflect positively on the client and security team
- Observe entrances, exits, and remote access points

- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for hazards, violations, or unsafe conditions
- Protect evidence, set up barriers, and respond to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, hazardous materials, or severe weather
- Maintain logs, write reports, and communicate incidents to client representatives, management, or public safety authorities
- Ensure property removal complies with client policies and standards
- Perform other tasks of similar scope as required by the site
