Job Description

This opportunity is with a well-established single specialty rheumatology group located in western Michigan, offering convenient access to major metropolitan areas including Detroit and Chicago. The group operates across three locations, with the newest office opening in Grand Rapids, a vibrant city known for its rich cultural scene, thriving economy, and excellent quality of life. Grand Rapids, often referred to as the furniture capital of the country, is home to over 200,000 people and boasts exceptional amenities including a variety of restaurants, shopping centers, entertainment venues, and close proximity to Lake Michigan. The city also benefits from outstanding schools and is near some of the top universities in the United States. This makes it an ideal place for professionals looking for a balanced lifestyle with both urban conveniences and natural attractions.

The rheumatology group is dedicated to providing high quality, affordable care and includes a team of 16 providers spread across its three locations. At the Grand Rapids site, the team consists of five doctors, nine physician assistants, and two nurse practitioners. The group emphasizes collaboration, requiring providers to work closely with advanced practitioners to deliver comprehensive patient care. The practice is outpatient only and features a fully equipped infusion suite at the location, which enhances the scope of services offered. The group is also actively involved in community education through partnerships with organizations such as AARP, reflecting a commitment to patient awareness and preventative care. In addition, the group has a research department engaged in cutting-edge studies, including the nationally recognized SetPoint vagus nerve study.

This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing healthcare providers the work-life balance many seek. Competitive salary packages are available and negotiable, along with sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance. Additional benefits include paid CME time, retirement options with company match, 160 hours of paid time off, and nine paid holidays. Malpractice coverage is provided and includes tail coverage, relieving providers of this common concern. As a member of this group, the provider will join a passionate and supportive team focused on patient-centered care and professional growth. This role is well suited for rheumatologists who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to making a meaningful impact on the health of their community while enjoying the advantages of living in a culturally rich and economically dynamic area like Grand Rapids.
