Job Description
The outpatient rheumatology practice located in West Texas is a well-established medical facility dedicated to providing specialized care for patients within the Permian Basin and surrounding communities. Serving a catchment population of approximately 450,000 individuals, this practice offers comprehensive outpatient rheumatology services aimed at delivering patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on quality and accessibility. The practice is renowned for its robust referral network stemming from a well-established primary care system, ensuring a steady patient flow and continuity of care for its community. Situated in Midland, Texas, this outpatient-only medical practice is designed to meet the increasing demand for expert rheumatologic care, particularly without the demanding component of hospital call duties, which benefits both the practitioners and the patients by promoting work-life balance and focused clinical service. This practice is supported by a modern in-office infusion center, enhancing its ability to administer and manage complex therapies efficiently within an outpatient setting. The clinic also employs the Athena Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, supplemented by Cerner EMR in hospital settings, to ensure streamlined and secure patient data management.
The role of the Rheumatologist in this practice offers a unique opportunity for physicians who are either Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Rheumatology to join a growing team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering exceptional care. This full-time employed position ensures no hospital call, providing physicians with a balanced professional lifestyle focused solely on outpatient care. The position is financially attractive, with a competitive base salary complemented by various incentives, including sign-on and start bonuses, relocation assistance, and stipends for residency or fellowship if applicable. Additional benefits include a Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and paid medical malpractice coverage, making this an excellent opportunity for both new and experienced rheumatologists. The practice environment prides itself on being patient-focused, fostering an atmosphere where dedicated medical professionals can thrive alongside colleagues in a collaborative setting. By joining this clinic, physicians will enjoy a well-supported practice infrastructure, an established patient base, and active community engagement, all contributing toward a rewarding and impactful career in rheumatology.
