The Rheumatology department in Dyer is a high-performing group made up of three physicians, an advanced practice provider, and experienced support staff. This team is highly focused on managing patients with arthritis, osteoporosis, and other rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. Providing patient-centric care is a priority here, alongside achievements in quality metrics and collaborative practice with primary care providers and other specialties. The role allows for practice flexibility, with a full-time or part-time schedule option, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and a manageable call expectation of one in four. The average outpatient volume is between 15 to 20 patients per day, supported by a dedicated medical assistant and a strong referral base from primary care colleagues. The system utilizes Epic electronic medical records (EMR), enhancing practice efficiency and continuity of care.
