The RF Test Technician 2nd Shift position at Stellant Systems presents an exciting opportunity for experienced technicians specialized in RF and microwave component testing. The role involves conducting detailed RF measurements on semiconductor components such as amplifiers, switches, filters, mixers, multi-chip modules, and integrated microwave assemblies operating in a broad range from DC to 40 GHz. The technician will perform complex tuning, troubleshooting, and moderate problem solving, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of engineering standards and the ability to understand and analyze basic block diagrams. This position includes responsibilities such as preparing complex test reports and handling data in strict adherence to Acceptance Test Procedures, contributing to quality assurance and product reliability.
Working on the 2nd shift, the technician will engage in various sophisticated testing activities using an array of specialized lab equipment including network analyzers, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes, function generators, high power amplifiers, noise meters, and power meters, enabling precise and accurate measurements essential for semiconductor performance validation. Additional tasks include performing environmental tests such as thermal, shock, and vibration testing to ensure product resilience under different conditions. The work involves setting up test equipment, working from schematics, drawings, and work instructions, as well as assisting engineering teams in new design and development projects including prototyping and evaluation of first article units.
The role demands strong technical skills, excellent hand-eye coordination for working under microscopes, physical dexterity for handling small tools, as well as proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting. Candidates will be expected to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally, to maintain accurate records and status updates on production efforts. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $31.00 to $41.00 depending on experience, providing an excellent pathway for seasoned RF test professionals to advance their careers within Stellant Systems, a company dedicated to technological excellence and employee growth.
