The Revenue Manager role at Loews Miami Beach Hotel is a pivotal position responsible for supporting the Area Director of Revenue Management in driving profitable hotel revenue and expanding market share. This role involves managing the daily revenue management operations, including pricing strategy, inventory management, and group block management. The Revenue Manager conducts critical meetings such as Group Business Reviews and Revenue Strategy sessions to ensure strategic alignment. This position demands a highly analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and strong organizational capabilities to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently. Being an assertive leader capable of influencing change and fostering collaborative relationships across departments is essential. Additionally, the Revenue Manager oversees revenue forecasting, approves group room requests, manages group wash accuracy, conducts group pickup meetings, and utilizes advanced analytics tools like IDeaS G3 and TravelClick BI to inform revenue strategies. The role requires a forward-thinking individual who enjoys creative problem-solving and continuous learning, contributing to the hotel’s outstanding revenue management practices.

Job Requirements

  • College degree in hospitality management or related equivalent experience
  • Previous hotel revenue management experience
  • Thorough understanding of hotel operations either through education or prior work experience
  • Analytical thinker able to break down complex situations, analyze, explain, and suggest strategy ideas and changes/improvements to senior leadership
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Able to type 25+ wpm
  • Flexible to work any shift including weekends and holidays
  • Previous hotel operations experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proficient with Opera PMS, Delphi.fdc and IDeaS G3 or equivalent systems

Job Duties

  • What We're Looking For: The Revenue Manager supports the (Area) Director of Revenue Management in implementing Revenue Management efforts with the overall objective of driving profitable hotel revenue and increasing market share
  • Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, running and supervising the daily on-property Revenue Management processes for the hotel, setting & executing pricing strategy, inventory management, Group block management, and conducting meetings such as Group Business Review, Group Pickup and Revenue Strategy Meetings
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize work load
  • Oversee daily Revenue Management processes for the hotel such as running & distribution of reports, pricing and inventory management
  • Manage Definite Groups, including:
  • Complete the Group Forecast
  • Create Group Plug forecast (based on rooms and meeting space availability)
  • Review and Update Definite group wash weekly for monthly forecasts
  • Present Group forecast to DOSM/DORM/DOS
  • Evaluate and Approve requests for additional rooms from Sales, Event Managers and Group DSAs
  • Ensure accuracy of Turnovers / Addendums turned by Group Desk
  • Conduct Group Pickup Meeting and assist and direct Analyst on managing the daily group cut-offs
  • Oversee Group Strategy, including:
  • Review, analyze and edit MARs, Transient Protected and IDeaS Group Pricing seasons
  • Provide Group Displacement Analysis and Follow Up for Outstanding Business Review decisions
  • Participate and Provide Analytics for Daily Business Review
  • Run the meeting in the absence of the DORM
  • Attend and participate in Revenue Meeting, and run the meeting in the absence of the DORM
  • Monitor IDeaS G3 to approve recommended rates, length-of-stay patterns, and Demand analysis
  • review with DORM & DOSM
  • Incorporate data from TravelClick BI tools into hotel's Revenue Strategies
  • Analyze Weekly and Monthly STAR Reports and apply lessons learned to future months and years
  • Implement '13th Month' strategies so that inventory rolling into the 365-day booking window is selling with the correct rates and restrictions
  • Implement Special Event strategies as necessary
  • Approve Favor Rate requests
  • Assist with monthly Forecast and annual Budget
  • Assist with renovation displacement scenarios
  • Assist in Management and development of Revenue Analyst
  • Liaise with the Front Desk on Upsell strategy
  • Champion Revenue Management thinking and processes across all departments in the hotel
  • Ad-hoc analysis as necessary
  • Cover DORM duties in their absence (with support from RDORM and CDORM)
  • Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Revenue Analyst
